In their May edition, Inc. Magazine has listed the Best Places for Business in 2005.
Out of 274 cities, Riverside-San Bernardino moved to 6th place from 7th last year and San Diego moved up to 22nd from 34th last year. Two-thirds of the scoring was attributed to job growth with the remaining third for other types of growth.
This information supports my feeling that the best place to invest at present is Southern California, and especially the Palm Springs and San Diego areas. Los Angeles was ranked #153, NYC was 184th and Muncie Indiana received the “last place award.”
